My older sister has a retired thoroughbred race horse that she jumps with. But we only have about an acre and a half, so he is rented at a barn near us.
=) I really wish I could learn how to jump on a horse someday. I volunteer at a stable in exchange for riding. This horse, a retired Hanoverian named Paramount, is a hunter jumper, so... ;)
I've only jumped on him once, it was scary, but fun. ;) Personally I prefer riding western, but he is trained in English, so I can only ride English with him which is a bummer. Do you just ride English? Oh cool! Hanoverians are really pretty jumpers.

Ah me too. Western is so much more relaxed. But the owner of the stable only does English =/
